The Amandala Newspaper continues it’s campaign against recent international efforts to pressure the Government of Belize to decriminalize anal sex in Belize. The Amandala’s homophobia is apparent again today is a new online poll. The new poll asks: “Who do you believe should decide on decriminalization of homosexuality in Belize?” when the issue at hand is not homosexuality at all. The real issue is whether or not consenting adults of any gender can engage in anal sex without the threat of imprisonment. You don’t have to be gay or queer to enjoy anal sex. Of course the Amandala Newspaper clearly has a homophobic agenda. The Amandala does not question whether this is a human rights issue, or why in our increasingly secular society Belizeans’ individual religious views should impact the lives of any Belizean in this way. Belize News Post is happy to be pro-butt sex for consenting adults of any gender.
With the questions posed it’s no surprise the current poll results (at time of writing this post was 238 entries, with 161 saying: “Our Creator has already ruled it is criminal”). When will Belize grow up and support human rights for all it’s citizens?
Belize News Post encourages all it’s readers to write letters to the Amandala’s Editor asking him to explain himself.

Wow! My husband and I have been to Belize several times and have been considering retiring there. But to face imprisonment for anal sex? Yeah, maybe we’ll try up the coast in Paamul, Mexico. We liked it there very much as well!
